Why equestrianism?
The UK’s equestrian industry is a highly resilient £5 billion market with 1.82 million riders, and its governing memberships have grown by 11% despite widespread cost-of-living challenges.
However, this massive consumer demand is fundamentally bottle necked by systemic instability: 46% of grooms earn below minimum wage, and 75% of riding schools are trapped at partial capacity simply because they lack qualified coaches. Tragically, despite industry affluence, the RSPCA recently reported a 50% increase in horses taken into their care due to neglect and financial strain in the last year.
By putting knowledge into the hands of grassroots horse owners and supporting industry professionals, we create an ecosystem to improve animal welfare.
